Boone County History & Culture Center - She Got the Vote

“She Got the Vote” is an exhibition at the Boone County History & Culture Center highlighting the suffrage movement in Missouri within the broader national context. Developed to accompany a collection of historical garments, including iconic white dresses and yellow sashes, the exhibit required visual panels that would both inform and engage visitors. The goal was to bring historical narratives to life while complementing the physical artifacts on display.

I created a series of six foam core panels that combine vibrant color with collage-style imagery to capture attention and evoke emotion. The design emphasizes the courage and impact of the women featured, using layered visuals and typography to guide viewers through the story. This approach helped transform the panels into an immersive educational experience that enhanced the overall exhibition.
