Rosa Community Solar
BRAND IDENTITY, PRINT, SOCIAL
Rosa Community Solar is a nonprofit initiative designed to make solar energy accessible without the need for individual panel installation. By allowing residents and businesses to subscribe to a shared solar array, the program supports local renewable energy while reducing costs. The brand needed to reflect the iconic association with Portland, “the city of roses” while capturing the dual meaning of “Rosa” as both a rose and a color.
When developing the brand identity, I decided to blend floral and solar elements through subtle rose and sunset-inspired visuals. By avoiding solar panel imagery, the design remains fresh and approachable. A warm palette of pinks, oranges, and yellows reinforces both the environmental focus and the connection to Portland’s identity as the city of roses. The project included a full brand suite supported by brochures, an announcement letter, and social media assets.
