A.B. May was founded in 1959 by Aleda and Bill Posladek. After 65 years, A.B. May has grown to be one of the largest home service companies in Kansas City to offer heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and appliance services. In 2018, A.B. May was ready to refine its brand identity. The goal was to elevate their marketing materials to reflect a more premium service offering while maintaining the recognition and trust built through their existing brand.

I approached this as a brand refresh rather than a full rebrand, enhancing the existing logo with a deeper, more refined color palette while preserving its recognizable blue and red foundation. I introduced their trade service offerings into the logo and developed a comprehensive style guide to unify typography, color, photography, and overall execution. In collaboration with the owners and marketing team, this foundation has supported the brand’s growth over the past seven years across a wide range of touchpoints, including print, digital, and broadcast materials.
